What is the procedure?
Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure used to improve the shape and size of woman’s breasts. The procedure is typically performed if a woman finds her breasts too small, to restore the volume of the breast after pregnancy, or to give a symmetrical look to the chest. Breast augmentation also helps improve the shape of sagging breasts, breasts that have lost firmness or breasts that have been disfigured due to illness other surgery. By undergoing breast augmentation surgery one can expect to expand the chest by one or more bra cup sizes as desired.
What does the package include?
The breast augmentation package includes transportation between the airport, clinic stay, all consultation and doctor's fees, initial and final examinations and any necessary medical wraps, bandages or girdles.
This procedure requires a stay of 14 to 21 days for recovery, checkups and post-surgical examinations. While we do not cover hotel stay we will provide transportation between your chosen place of stay and the clinic. We can also assist in making reservations at local hotels of your choosing.
If desired, you can also choose to spend your entire recovery period at the clinic at an additional cost of €40 per day.
How is the procedure performed?
During the procedure the surgeon inserts the implant behind existing breast tissue. The type of the implant used, its shape and size, and other features depend on your basic breast and body anatomy and the size desired.
During the surgery the incision is made by the surgeon either under the arm, around the nipple, or within the breast fold, depending upon the type of implant used. The implant is then placed behind the breast and positioned. The two common positions of the placements of the implant are: subglandular (between the chest muscle and breast tissue) and submuscular (below the chest muscle).
General anesthesia is used throughout the entire procedure. The surgery lasts about one to two hours.
