What is the procedure?
The shape and firmness of breasts is affected due to various reasons such as weight loss, pregnancy, breast feeding and aging. A breast lift, also called mastopexy, helps raise sagging breasts, making them firmer and giving them a more youthful contour. Although breasts of all sizes can be lifted, the results may not last for larger and heavier breasts. Furthermore, if a woman is planning to have children in future, it is better to postpone breast lift, as the effects of a breast lift will be nullified after pregnancy.
What does the package include?
The breast lift package includes transportation between the airport, clinic stay, all consultation and doctor's fees, initial and final examinations and any necessary medical wraps, bandages or girdles.
This procedure requires a stay of 14 to 21 days for recovery, checkups and post-surgical examinations. While we do not cover hotel stay we will provide transportation between your chosen place of stay and the clinic. We can also assist in making reservations at local hotels of your choosing.
If desired, you can also choose to spend your entire recovery period at the clinic at an additional cost of €40 per day.
How is the procedure performed?
During the procedure the surgeon typically makes an anchor shaped incision along the natural contours of the breast. The location of the incision determines the area from which the excess skin will be removed and the final location of the nipple. After the removal of the excess skin, the nipple and the areola are moved to a higher location and the breast is given a proper shape. If a breast augmentation is also to be performed the surgeon will insert the implant at this stage.
General anesthesia is used throughout the entire process. The surgery can last from one to four hours depending on the extent of the procedure to be performed.
