Chin Augmentation

A weak chin makes the nose appear larger and disproportionate to the other parts of the face and give the appearance of a sagging neck. If on the other hand if the chin is too prominent, the nose may appear too small and the overall balance of the face is destroyed. The proper shaping of the chin gives a good balance to the face and improves a person’s overall self-image. Chin augmentation is sometimes performed along with nose surgery.

The chin augmentation package includes transportation between the airport, clinic stay, all consultation and doctor's fees, initial and final examinations and any necessary medical wraps, bandages or girdles.

This procedure requires a stay of 14 to 21 days for recovery, checkups and post-surgical examinations. While we do not cover hotel stay we will provide transportation between your chosen place of stay and the clinic. We can also assist in making reservations at local hotels of your choosing.
If desired, you can also choose to spend your entire recovery period at the clinic at an additional cost of €40 per day.

During the surgery an incision is made under the chin along the natural crease line or inside the mouth at the place where gum and the lower lip meet. Then the tissues are stretched to create the space where the implant can be inserted. The implant itself is a synthetic material that matches the tissues in the chin region of the face and is available various shapes and sizes. When the implant is placed in the proper position, the surgeon makes fine sutures to close the incision and give final shape to the chin. After the surgery dressing is applied that remains in place for about two to three days.

General anesthesia is used throughout the entire procedure. The surgery lasts about 30 to 90 minutes.

The procedure of chin augmentation helps raise a weak or receding chin and makes a large nose less conspicuous. The procedure also helps to make the entire face more proportioned. The look of a sagging neck caused by a weak chin is also nullified.
