Bojnice Castle

The Slovak Republic is noted for it's rich natural and cultural heritage, with many sites listed on UNESCO's World Heritage List. It has one of the highest number of fortified castles and churches in the world with some dating as far back as the 8th century. The country is also noted for a great abundance of natural hot-spring spas which have made the Slovak Republic a destination for rehabilitating patients since the time of the Hapsburg empire.

Slovak Republic's natural wonders include a multitude of national parks and famous cave formations. With its high mountain ranges the country is a popular skiing and winter sport destination.

Given its central position, travel to other European countries is easy. Vienna, Budapest and Prague are only a few hours away by train or car. Visa requirements are the same as for the Slovak Republic – if you can travel here you can go anywhere else in Europe.
